The movie tells the story of the leader of PAKISTAN, the great QUAID E AZAM MOHAMMAD ALI JINNAH, and the creation of PAKISTAN. A cinematic masterpiece, it brought tears to my eyes and effected me deeply. This movie sets the record straight about THE GREAT JINNAH, after the biased potrayal of him in the movie "gandhi".
Biography of Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of modern Pakistan is told through flashbacks as his soul tries to find eternal rest. The flashbacks start in 1947 as Jinnah pleads for a separate nation from the Muslim regime, infuriating Lord Mountbatten. Mountbatten then tries to enlist Gandhi & Nehru to persuade Jinnah to stop his efforts. Gandhi sides with Jinnah, which upsets Nehru. 印巴分治时印度宗教之间的仇杀真是惨，真纳这么被美化，真有点不适应，再美一点，我就要关电影了。
我怎么觉得比甘地拍得好多了～～～
碰巧看了几个李老爷子的访谈，他都提到这是他最喜欢 最重要的电影。就跑去看了，看完也更理解老爷子在访谈上说的话。有一个访谈上记者问你最喜欢哪个角色，他说我喜欢的角色你们都没看到过，下面的人笑了笑。但是老爷子一脸严肃的去讲解，也直接道出了这部电影不能在西方大范围公映的原因。老爷子的见解和思想确实不一般。
挺好的观影体验，想打四星半。
很新颖，让真纳虚拟地穿越在自己的一生，补充人物内心独白，效果很好。
从Viceroy's House过来的，因为那边弄得Jinnah有点独夫样了，你看巴基斯坦这边，他就是hero。不论历史，history is written by winners。电影虽然挺老了，而且还是英国班底，拍得是不错的。这版蒙巴顿是长日留痕里的老爷耶。
别样视角。 1.Diky从屋子里的傻白甜变成幕后boss。 2.居然被真纳生一脸傲娇地看自己念独立宣言（插flag）苏到... 3.某人理想主义标签深入人心。傻傻地对Ed说Diky把你让给我是爱和友情啊。到底还是夫人理性，凉凉地上了个利用梗。 4.三巨头互怼爆炸可爱。
就是觉得拍得比甘地传好！
