沙茨伯格的处女作已有很强的个人风格，甚至比之后的毒海鸳鸯更不守规矩，多次使用音画不同步超多突然的大特写等等。其实故事就是很简单的年轻模特在纷扰的行业人际关系和名望中的沉浮，是新好来坞的颓丧气质让它变得不同。整部电影是唐娜薇的个人秀，她真的适合各种妆容，红唇给人印象太深了
私以为比导演著名的那部毒海鸳鸯高很多，一部分归功于唐纳薇的演技和美貌。
Lumiere2014第五片。演的压抑看的也压抑，目前为止看到的最好的有关精神崩溃女人的电影。大胆的闪回，无节制的声画不同步，照片插入，长时间红唇大特写。《上海快车》中的玛丽·黛德丽以及傅满洲的女儿黄柳霜。片尾Aaron和Lou两人海滩漫步长镜头跟拍，顿时又升腾起一股暖意。

是的節奏，瘋狂的結構。節奏還是很緊湊的，一個淒涼的墮落到精神病的被寵壞的孩子的經歷慢慢地被呈現出來。在小城電影節主題內，這應該屬於劇情和結構的變形。喜歡女主角。
