《以天皇的名义》一片记录1937年日本军队在南京掠杀30万中国百姓的史实。日本士兵以日本裕仁天皇的名义，血洗了当时中国的首都，超过六周的系统性强暴、折磨，杀害了无数当时滞留在南京的百姓。这部影片用辩证的态度对待史实，同时展示了当时亲历现场的美国传教士用摄影机拍下的恐怖景象?
A matter-of-fact documentary of the massacre of over 300,000 Chinese civilians by the Japanese in the so-called 'Rape of Nanjing' in 1937. In the name of the Japanese emperor Hirohito, the desperate soldiers, enraged by intense Chinese resistance, stormed the then capitol of China and over a six week period systematically raped, tortured, and killed many of the inhabitants of that city.
