《海灘遊俠》的性感尤物葉絲敏布林茲在該驚慄片飾演一名護士，接到父親病危通知而返鄉探親。但當她到家以後，發現週遭的人、事、物愈來愈離奇詭異。事情的真相藏在鎮上的一座湖底，究竟是什麼原因使得平靜的小鎮引起軒然大波？
Jackie Ivers is a Los Angeles nurse who returns home to the small town of San Vicente to find that her friends and family have taken on bizarrely different personalities. Jackie notices that everyone who goes into the town's lake come out different. As the movie progresses, Jackie witnesses what is happening to everyone around her as she is kidnapped by people from a parallel world which is the duplicate to Earth but is now polluted and the ozone layer gone. In order to survive, the duplicates intend to take over Earth.
